Think Globally, Laugh Locally Sunday, May 4 is World Laughter Day. People all over the world will be gathering to laugh together.
http://www.laughterfoundation.org
There will be a gathering in Golden Gate Park from 1:00-3:00. The organizer says:
“Our space is the grassy area on the south side of John F. Kennedy Drive at Middle Drive, across the street from the Conservatory of Flowers.”
Please note: The East end of JFK Drive is closed to vehicle traffic on Sundays. There is public transportation that comes close to the area. Parking is a challenge so come early and bring a picnic lunch. For information contact: Bev Bender 415.239-270
This gathering will feature many members of the local Laughter Yoga community. What is Laughter Yoga? Where can you join a group? Ha! I’ve got links for you

Shake that Scaly Tail
Also at 1:00 on Sunday, May 4, it’s the 4th Annual San Francisco Mermaid Parade
Thank you, Lady Violetta Pomme de Terre of the Magical Isle of Avalon for letting me know about this nifty event.

Cat has reminded me the whichever event you attend, or wherever you find yourself, you can make a small but significant difference by picking up trash. Un-Littering, a service to your community and your world!

One more event for this thrill-packed week
The Sacred Well, in addition to being a wonderful place to shop for beautiful and magical and things, and meet beautiful and magical people, is also a great place to showcase beautiful and magical art by local artists! This month, the featured artist is Derik Cowan, with a series of painting representing Olympian Deities.
You already may have noticed his Persephone painting, which is displayed in the shop on the wall to the left of the door to the altar room. If you are lucky enough to know Derik and do magical work with him, you already may own one of his paintings!
If not, here’s your chance to get to know Derik and his paintings – believe me, you want to!
There will be a reception with the artist on Wednesday, May 7, at 7:00.
